Your work may be a calling, a career, or a job, but it is always a journey. Where are you in yours? How have you changed over the years of practice in your approach, your values, your style? What do you envision for your professional future? In this 3-hour, highly interactive workshop, you will have an opportunity to step back and take stock of the state of your clinical practice, workplace, career, and most of all you. Based on my newly-released book, The Therapist’s Journey, we’ll explore through guided imagery exercises, breakout discussions, readings, and written exercises where you are at that point in your life and look back and ahead to what might become.

Workshop Objectives:

At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  1. Define the source of your decision to be a social worker.
  2. Discuss regrets, goals, visions of the future.
  3. Describe what you need most to move forward in your career.
  4. Evaluate how your clinical style has changed over time.
