Depression, anxiety, and trauma are stored in the body and muscle memory which may create burdens and impact daily functioning. Often this cannot be overcome with just traditional psychotherapy. The body tells a story, and when we help clients pay attention to that story it frees them to make different choices and resolve trauma. Participants will engage in discussions and experiential activities that will improve their understanding of body responses, perception and interventions. Participants will also learn about the neurophysiology and psychology of body memory and processing. All are invited, especially clinicians interested in mindfulness and somatic responses to stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma.
