Therapist Statement
Many of my clients have depression, anxiety, self esteem or relationship issues. I will talk with you about your goals for therapy. We will discuss how you can reach these goals and how your therapy experience will enable you to grow. I usually began by helping you to look at three major issues: (1) Both negative and positive patterns in your life; (2) the context of your environment and its impact on you; and (3) life's bumps in the road. I use a variety of approaches: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy-helping you to reframe negative thoughts that prevent you from moving forward; EMDR; Traumatic Incident and Stress Reduction (TIR) and Human Needs Psychology. I give 'homework' so you can practice what you are learning in our sessions. I have had much success using EMDR to help make psychological connections to resolve life's bumps more quickly. Since I had over 20 years work experience in the Federal government I am in a unique position as a workplace coach to coach managers, promising leaders and staff who are having problems in workplace.
