Since 1974, The Greater Washington Society for Clinical Social Work (GWSCSW) has led Metropolitan DC area in promoting the professional image of clinical social work. In addition to serving as a mental referral resource, GWSCSW advocates for political and legislative goals of professional licensure, promotes awareness of clinical social workers' diagnostic and treatment competence, and collaborates with other health care professionals on issues of common concern.
